
Michelle Bourne graduated from Worcester University in 2011 as a Social Worker. Subsequently, then went on to study to become a Practice Educator in Social Work and enjoys supporting students in the workplace to learn and develop as practitioners in a social work setting.
Michelle has mainly worked in a fostering setting during her Social Work career. Michelle has been a Supervising Social Worker, a Senior Supervising Social Worker, a Team Manager and Head of Fostering.
Michelle has previously worked within mental health settings, supporting adults and has also supported young people transitioning to adulthood.
Michelle understands the challenges foster carers face within their role. Michelle is passionate about children and young people having lots of opportunities to flourish and to learn at their own pace.
Michelle has 2 adult children and 3 grandchildren. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys watching sports, especially football, she enjoys going to the gym and eating out with friends. Michelle also loves going on holidays and spending time with her family.
